Workshop Levels

How to choose the best fitting level for you?

Just have a look at the descriptions and check if you agree for yourself to ALL explained requirements!
If you do not agree for yourself, please choose another level.
It is important that all participants of one level have the same credentials and intentions.

If any of these levels have too less participants, there may be a union with a similar level or – in the case of too many participants – a split into two classes of one level.

If you are unsure, you are welcome to contact us at info@hopintosummer.de before registering. We will then find the right class for you together.

Sun Lovers
  • You have been dancing Lindy Hop regularly for at least 6 months
  • You are familiar with basic rhythms and moves like 6-Count, 8-Count, Pass-by, Tuck Turn, Swing out, Lindy Circle and Texas Tommy
  • You are for variations of these moves and new challenges

Water Divers
  • You have been dancing regularly for at least 3 years
  • Your feet have to move when you hear swing music and you enjoy going to social dances
  • Terms like flow and variations of the basic moves and rhythms are your daily business
  • You enjoy dancing to slow as well as fast music
  • You have attended several workshops on international level

Beach Runners
  • Lindy Hop is your daily breakfast and dinner for at least 6 years
  • There is nearly no social dance where you are missing
  • You play with the rhythm and footwork – and interact with the band and the music
  • Fast music can’t keep you off the dancefloor
  • You are a part of the international swing dance community
